Today marked the end of aerobic mesocycle 1 (consisting of 4 increasing microcycles of 10%). Here are the numbers:

6 runs - 2:19:00, avg pace: 9:42 min/mi, 15.5 mi total
8 bikes - 7:01:03, avg time: 52:37 min/session, all trainer sessions minus one
6 swims - 01:58:00, avg pace: 2.975 km/hr, 5.85 km total

Recovery week follows next: -25% on duration.

Training opportunities will happen in the morning hours due to employer commitments this week.

Committed to running the www.columbusmarathon.com with a family member already completing such an endeavor in 2007. So here's to running long, and tapering.

I still cannot believe Tom Coughlin made it to a Super Bowl. I mean, serial. Tom "I curse to appear manly" Coughlin. Patriots by 3 touchdowns.

...screeeeeeeeech. Holy bloggable-babble, Batman! A post!

Inhale a deep breath...

Finished school - Moved to VA - Started a new job (very stressful) - Business trip to Phoenix - Business trip to San Diego (site 1 mile from Cali. wildfires/within evac. region) - Got married - Honeymoon'd in Hawaii - "Traded" to support factory technology roadmap -Halloween - Thanksgiving - Traveled to the Netherlands (on business no less) - Christmas - New Year's - MLK Day - Good, your're caught up....

There is something to this heart rate training business. What it will eventually yield is lower BPM with increased pace. But, we'll see. That chart is from my new-to-me Garmin Forerunner 301 that just arrived this afternoon. eBay is great for gently-used gear.
Don't miss the new Flickr pics from my 2007 travels.
